Information collected
This may include authenticated account email and display name, profile details a member supplies, listings, uploaded photos, private messages, favorites, reports, moderation history, founding-list requests, concierge source links, signed authorization records, draft history, and basic security or diagnostic information. A launch invitation may store a first-party campaign cookie for up to 60 days and record broad funnel events, such as a visit, authorized request, publication, or buyer message, so we can compare our own mailers. We do not use that cookie for third-party advertising.
Photo integrity information
Uploaded photos may be checked for file type, size, cryptographic hash, reuse, and available capture information such as date, device make or model, and whether GPS metadata exists. We do not retain precise GPS coordinates. We retain only those limited review signals, then strip private embedded metadata before storing the marketplace copy. A non-identifying orientation tag may be recreated so a phone photo displays upright. The original upload bytes are not kept.
How information is used
Information is used to provide listings and messaging, review submissions, apply verification badges, investigate reports, prevent spam and fraud, prepare seller-authorized concierge drafts, record seller approval, communicate about an account, and improve the service.
Sharing
Teton Marketplace does not sell personal information. Public listing details and the seller’s chosen display name are visible to visitors. Private contact details and messages are not placed in public listings. Information may be shared with service providers or authorities when reasonably necessary for operations, safety, legal compliance, or the prevention of fraud.
Storage and retention
Structured marketplace records and uploaded images are stored using managed cloud infrastructure. Records may be retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for safety, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
When a member submits a safety report, we preserve a private snapshot of the material listing details and, for a conversation report, the selected message. This prevents later edits from changing the evidence the safety team received.
Your choices
Members may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing erinnsebay@gmail.com. Some information may be retained where legally required or reasonably needed to prevent misuse and resolve disputes.
